Potluck Pig Out Feast

6:30 PM – 8:00 PM

Shrove Tuesday is a time to celebrate and "let go" a bit before the season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday.  This year we are having a potluck!  Here is the catch...bring what YOU want us, and others to "pig out" on!  Do you have a hankerin' for your favorite greasy fried chicken?...bring a bunch!  Do you want to eat one too many Big Mac type burgers? - buy a bag full and bring them!  Is your absolute favorite dessert a hot fudge sundae?  - bring enough ice cream, some fudge and help us go to town!  Whatever you love that is yummy, greasy, and to-die for bring it to the Auditorium of the Education Building and we will put it all out on tables and just go for it.

The Pig Out will start at 6:30 p.m. and at 7:45 p.m. we will roll ourselves outside for an introspective and symbolic transition to the Lenten season with a “burning bowl” ceremony where you will be invited to write on pieces of paper what you would like to “let go of” before Lent starts and then symbolically release those burdens into the fire. Come one and come all, bring your favorite food and let us pig out and let go together!
