Acolytes

Boys and girls receive training and serve at the altar during worship services. Contact: Bob Wattenbarger and Bob Riley

Altar Guild

Members of the guild are responsible for preparing the altar for worship services. The women and men on the guild work in teams as they care for the holy vessels. Contact: Debbie Harris  

Banner Guild

The guild makes and maintains the banners and decorative hangings of the church and is responsible for the rotation of these items according to the seasons and services. Contact: Lynn Knox

Bazaar

The church has held an annual bazaar for over 40 years. The bazaar is a primary fundraising event held each fall for the church and for outreach projects.

Buildings

A Vestry member serves as commissioner of buildings and with volunteers oversees the maintenance of the physical plant of the church.

Chapel Prayer Team

Members serve at the later Sunday service and are available in the chapel to pray with or for you during communion. Contact: Barbara Johnson

Refreshments & Fellowship

Refreshments & Fellowship hosts provide refreshments for the congregation each week following the later Sunday service. Contact: Richard Sellers

Communications

A Vestry commissioners oversees the signage, print and electronic communications for the congregation.

The Christophers

This group prepares and delivers meals to parishioners following the birth of a baby, during illnesses or at any time of need. Contact:

Eucharistic Bread Bakers

Fresh bread is used at the Lords table each Sunday at the later service and is baked by a team member on a rotating basis. Teens and children are welcome as bakers. Contact: Danny Gorham

Junior EYC (Youth Group)

The Junior EYC is a youth group for those in grades 6-8. It meets on Sunday afternoons for fellowship, discussion, and group projects. They attend an annual retreat at Shrine Mont.

Senior EYC (Youth Group)

The Senior EYC is a youth group for those in grades 9-12 and meets on Sunday afternoons for fellowship, discussions and group projects. They attend an annual retreat at Shrine Mont.

Finance

The Finance Committee oversees financial investments and policies and makes recommendations to the Vestry. Contact: Stan Spence

Flower Guild

Teams of guild members purchase and arrange flowers for the altar and other areas of the church. After the last service flowers from the altar are divided and presented to parishioners who are celebrating a birthday or other life event. Contact: June Hoffman and Ruth York

Greeters

Greeters welcome everyone to church and distribute service leaflets. Contact: June Hoffman

Grounds and Green Shoes

A grounds commissioner serves with a group affectionately known as the Green Shoes to plant, prune, mow, edge, water, and maintain the church lawns and gardens. Contact:  Mike Snyder

Intercessors

Intercessors lead the Prayers of the People during services. Training is provided. Contact: Katie Alleman

Lectors

Lectors read the scripture during each service. Training is provided. Contact: Mary Johnson

Library

St. Christophers library for up to date books, tapes, videos, DVDs and periodicals is located in the Education Building. A rolling library cart is maintained in the Fellowship Hall. Donations of recent, new or gently used books are accepted. Contact: Barb Barnhardt

Lay Eucharistic Ministers

Members of this team receive instruction and serve at the altar with the priest to distribute the Bread and Wine during worship services. Contact: Helen Spence

Memorial Committee

Members of this committee oversee the selection, purchase, and installation of gifts given to the church in memory of members and friends.

Outreach

Hands-on outreach is vital to our parish life as we seek to follow Jesus command to love our neighbor as ourselves. Details can be found at Outreach Ministry.  Contact: Kathy Kozak and John Quinn

Parish Planning

A Vestry commissioner works with the Rector to oversee short and long range planning.

Pastoral Assistance Team

A team of trained, skilled and compassionate lay people assist the rector in visiting and bringing communion to those in hospitals, nursing homes, and those who are restricted to their homes. Contact: Linda Murphy

Prayer Shawl

Knitters and crocheters make simple, but beautiful, shawls that are given to people in any kind of need. The shawls are knitted with prayers, and joy, and are sent near and far to wrap the recipients in love and comfort. Contact: Barbara Milton

Stewardship Education

A Vestry commissioner for Stewardship works with a committee to oversee year-round Stewardship Education and conduct the Annual Stewardship Campaign to gather pledges to support the churches work.

Ushers

Ushers help seat people and direct traffic during worship. Brief training is provided. Men, women, and teens are needed as ushers.

Worship Committee

This committee meets with the Rector three times a year to review worship practices and plan holy seasons.
