Shrine Mont – Annual Parish Retreat

The Annual Parish Retreat at Shrine Mont has long been a St. Christopher’s tradition. Rectors have come and gone, the participants have changed, and the buildings have gone through some renovations, but the place itself has stayed fundamentally the same. There is something deeply comforting about that. It’s very much like coming home to where you grew up as a child. Maybe the paint colors have changed and the drapes are different, but it’s still home.
If you haven’t been to Shrine Mont before, or if it has been a long time, prayerfully consider joining us next October for our first retreat in three years. Hopefully it will be followed by many more in the years to come.
What is Shrine Mont?
Officially, Shrine Mont is the Cathedral Shrine of the Transfiguration, and a Conference Center of the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia. The outdoor stone shrine is actually the Cathedral of the Diocese of Virginia. Where is Shrine Mont?

How much does it cost?
New rates will be available in January. Keep in mind that the cost includes all meals and meeting spaces for the entire weekend.
Fundraising:
We realize that as reasonable as this cost is, it can be a lot once you add up the cost for all the family members. St. Christopher’s plans a number of fundraising events that will enable us to reduce the cost and bring it within range for anyone who wants to participate.
