SUNDAYS at 10:30 AM

Currently, we have two Sunday worship options: online or outdoors. The Rev. Carey Connors, our Priest-in-Charge, is the celebrant for both services.

Due to COVID-19, Our highest priority is to ensure the safety of everyone participating in our worship services.  St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church has limited capacity for in person services, therefore preregistration is required before attending. If you are willing to follow the policies listed below, please continue to register.

Sunday, May 23, https://conta.cc/2R5lmRk

Sunday, May 30, https://conta.cc/3y8wc9O

Safety Requirements:

  • Masks will be required at all services. The policy of St. Christopher’s at this time is: We require anyone over the age of four to enter the church building(s) to wear a mask. No exceptions.
  • Hand Sanitizer is available at all entries to the church building, and near the altar/ communion distribution stations.
  • At least 6 feet of social distance must be maintained for anyone outside of your usual family grouping.
  • There will be no groups, outside of your usual family unit, gathering in parish hall, sanctuary or hallways before or after services to prevent crowding and to maintain social distancing.

Online reservations will be required to attend all indoor worship services.  There will be a maximum of 65 persons (including clergy, musicians and volunteers)

Once you have been greeted at check-in, an usher will direct you and your family to a designated pew or seating area. Please note there will be areas marked off to ensure social distancing so please stay within your family grouping.

  • St. Christopher ‘s will continue to offer a variety of live and pre-recorded music for our services.
  • No congregational singing will be allowed at these services until approval is given from the Diocese. A soloist, duet, or small ensemble may sing during worship as long as they wear masks and are distanced from one another and from the congregation.

The Peace:

May be shared with a bow or wave or peace sign and will not include handshakes, hugs or other physical touch.

  • Communion bread will be given standing in front of the altar.
  • When properly distanced from others, communicants may draw down or raise their masks momentarily to consume the wafer. They should replace their masks immediately after consuming the wafer.

Fellowship/Coffee Hour:

Communal food sharing indoors is discouraged by the Diocese (ex: a shared plate of cookies). However, prepackaged foods and/or beverages may be distributed in the future if Fairfax Co. daily average infections decrease. We will let you know when this is lifted.
