The church office will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26th and on Friday, November 27th. We give thanks and worship in community with one another. We wish you a happy Thanksgiving and a safe and blessed holiday season.

It is with great honor, joy, and reverence that we announce the appointment of The Reverend Carey Connors as the new Priest-in-Charge of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Springfield, VA.

ECHO Christmas Toy Drive/Living Nativity Is On! Saturday, December 5 from 11:30 AM-1:00 PM

Our friends at ECHO are again taking donations of toys for local families in need this year. St. Christopher's will be collecting new, unwrapped toys, though not exactly as usual. This year we're combining the annual toy collection with the Living Nativity in the median of Monticiello Avenue on Saturday, December 5 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. We'll also place a bin by the front door of the Church after Thanksgiving and through the morning of Sunday, December 6, the Feast Day of St. Nicholas. Or, as usual, money can be donated for the purchase of Discovery Toys. You can mail a check (6320 Hanover Ave., Springfield, VA. 22150) payable to St. Christopher's with ECHO Toy Drive in the memo line or use our PayPal account. Thank you for your giving spirit.

COVID-19 UPDATE: We have temporarily closed ALL in-person activities and events as a church to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Per Bishop Goff’s directive, we continue to keep each other and our community safe by worshiping online only for the foreseeable future. We are holding everyone in prayer during this difficult time of social distancing. Please continue to monitor this page of our website for updates.
Every week....
- The interactive service, with music by our very own Joe Gabalski, is celebrated via Zoom Sunday mornings at 10:30. (Watch your email Saturday for a special bulletin blast with the meeting link.)
- The recorded service is uploaded later Sunday to our new YouTube channel. Subscribe here:
- A link to the YouTube video is then shared on Facebook in the parishioners’ hangout group and on the St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, Springfield, VA Facebook page.
There are many ways to be the body of Christ. We can’t hug but we can meet in new ways and, as always, hold each other in prayer. Stay safe, St. Christopher’s family!
