Welcome to St. Christopher's Church!

St. Christopher’s in Springfield, VA is a parish made up of a Christ-centered community where all persons, from all walks of life, and varying faith experiences are welcome.  Here we continually discover ways in our personal and corporate lives to understand how Christ is calling us forth into the world to be his hands, feet, and heart in service others.   In this way we carry on God’s story as begun in scripture, continuing that with our lives.

For newcomers – the people who gather and worship at St. Christopher’s are just like you.  Come and see what our worship is like; receive our hospitality, and witness how God guides us here.  I am confident that you will experience the love of Christ among us, and feel included in that.  Wherever your personal adventure has brought you, you are welcome here.

The Reverend Peter K. Ackerman

  VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL:    July 8 – 12, 2013

Hogwarts is coming to St. Christopher's!

Registration Form: 2013_VBS_Register.pdf

St. Christopher’s will be holding an Intergenerational Vacation Bible School on July 8-12 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.   This year’s theme is Wizards and Wonders!  Based on the book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, the whole church community will have fun exploring the Christian themes in this classic tale of a hero’s journey.

We will begin each evening with a simple supper at 5:30 p.m. in the auditorium.  The program will start at 6:15 p.m.  This VBS is truly an intergenerational experience so EVERYONE is invited to participate -- children and adults of all ages.

Volunteers are still needed-- both for characters during the week and for other positions.  Registration forms are available in the church and the church office.  If you are interested or have questions, please contact Kellee Wattenbarger, Director of Christian Education, or Debbie Olsen.  Kellee may be reached by email at dce@saintchristophers.net or by phone at 703-395-0658.  Debbie may be reached by email at dsolsen9@gmail.com or by phone at 703-569-4193.

Please join us for a fun and thought-provoking experience for children and adults of all ages!
